What Your Day Will Look Like

As an Enrolled Nurse, you will play a key role in transforming clinical plans into safe, compassionate care. You’ll support patient recovery, encourage goal setting, and help maintain smooth patient flow across the service.

Your Daily Responsibilities Include:

  • Deliver delegated nursing care while contributing to effective care planning
  • Monitor patient conditions and escalate concerns promptly
  • Provide clear bedside handovers and maintain open communication with patients and families
  • Identify risks, report incidents, and contribute to continuous quality improvement
  • Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation
  • Support a positive team culture by mentoring peers and collaborating across the unit

Key Requirements

To succeed in this Enrolled Nurse role, you will have:

  • Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with the national board (no medication restrictions)
  • IV medication competency (HLTEN519 or equivalent qualification)
  • Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 healthcare environment
  • Physical capability for manual handling and use of PPE (including P2/N95 fit-testing)
  • Strong communication skills with a team-focused approach
  • Commitment to national safety and clinical standards
  • Compliance with required screening and immunisation protocols

Highly Regarded:

  • Experience in rural or regional healthcare settings
  • Involvement in quality improvement or patient flow initiatives
