About the Role | Te Mahi
We are seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (40 hours/week, Monday–Friday, 8:30 am–5:00 pm, with occasional weekends) to join our Hamilton team. This role offers the autonomy to make real decisions in patient care while being fully supported by Healthvision’s clinical leadership.
Key Responsibilities
As a Registered Nurse with Healthvision, you will:
- Conduct homecare assessments and plan individualized care for patients
- Support and train Community Support Workers in practical skills
- Monitor and review service user progress and goals regularly
- Provide patient education on health management, medication, and wound care
- Work collaboratively with GP practices, clinical leads, and service managers
- Apply holistic, client-centered care to promote independence and quality of life
- Maintain accurate reporting of incidents, accidents, and patient concerns
- Develop expertise in areas including wound care, falls prevention, enteral feeding, and pressure injury management
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a nurse who is clinically confident, autonomous, and dedicated to community care. The ideal candidate will have:
- Current registration and NZNC practising certificate
- Experience in community or district nursing
- Knowledge of spinal injury or traumatic brain injury (TBI) protocols (preferred)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking
- Familiarity with ACC and MOH community contracts (an advantage)
- Full New Zealand Driver’s License and legal right to work in NZ
