Role Overview: Registered Nurse
As a Registered Nurse, you will provide a broad range of clinical nursing services to patients, families, and community members. Your expertise will help ensure safe, effective, and compassionate care while promoting overall health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
Patient Care and Clinical Support
- Deliver high-quality patient-centered nursing care to individuals and families
- Assess, monitor, and evaluate patient conditions using professional nursing judgment
- Provide treatment, health education, and ongoing clinical support
Health Promotion and Patient Advocacy
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care
- Advocate for patient safety and wellbeing within the healthcare system
- Promote holistic approaches to community health and wellness
Leadership and Collaboration
- Work closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Support coordinated care planning across different healthcare services
- Demonstrate leadership in maintaining clinical excellence and patient safety
Work Details and Compensation
- Location: Cold Lake Community Health Services, Alberta
- Position Type: Temporary Full-Time
- Start Date: March 23, 2026
- End Date: September 23, 2026
- Shift Schedule: Days, evenings, weekends, and on-call rotation
- Hours per Shift: 7.75 hours
Salary Range
- Minimum Salary: $43.26 per hour
- Maximum Salary: $59.21 per hour
Provisional permit holders will receive $39.58 – $54.16 per hour until full licensure is obtained.
Additional requirement: Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
Required Qualifications
To succeed as a Registered Nurse, candidates should demonstrate both clinical expertise and a commitment to compassionate care.
Education & Certification
- Completion of an accredited nursing education program
- Eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse experience within the last 5 years
- Experience in:
- Seniors health
- Acute care
- Clinical nursing practice
Clinical Skills
- Proven competency in wound care management
- Strong assessment and clinical decision-making abilities
- Experience supporting integrated healthcare teams
Leadership Experience
- Minimum 3 years of charge nurse experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead in fast-paced healthcare environments
