Clinical Nurse Role – Mackay, QLD

BlueCare is currently seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse to join its team in Mackay, Queensland. This full-time, on-site role focuses on delivering high-quality, person-centred care to residents and supporting their physical, emotional, and social wellbeing.

As a Clinical Nurse, you will play a key role in maintaining exceptional care standards while working closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Key Responsibilities

The Clinical Nurse will be responsible for delivering professional nursing care while ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and organisational policies.

Core responsibilities include:

Patient Care and Clinical Assessment

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify care needs.
  • Develop and implement individualised care plans based on clinical best practices.
  • Administer medications and monitor patient health conditions.

Care Coordination and Documentation

  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records and care documentation.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust care strategies when required.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care.

Leadership and Staff Support

  • Supervise and mentor junior nursing staff and care teams.
  • Participate in care reviews and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Support adherence to clinical governance and healthcare regulations.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Requirements

  • Registered Nurse qualification with current AHPRA registration
  • Strong clinical assessment and care planning skills
  • Experience administering medications and monitoring patient outcomes
  • Ability to maintain accurate and compliant medical records
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities

Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience in aged care or community health services
  • Leadership experience supervising or mentoring staff
