Locala Health & Wellbeing is looking for a compassionate and motivated Staff Nurse (OPAT) to join our growing Integrated Community Services team. This is your opportunity to be part of an innovative service that reduces hospital stays and supports patients to recover comfortably at home.

As part of our dedicated OPAT team, you will work alongside a Clinical Lead, Band 6 Coordinator, and experienced nursing colleagues to deliver high-quality antimicrobial therapy across the Kirklees community.
This mobile role combines independent working with strong multidisciplinary collaboration, ensuring patients receive safe, effective, and timely care outside hospital settings.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver Expert Clinical Care
- Administer IV antibiotic and NMAB therapies to patients at home
- Monitor patient progress and respond to changing clinical needs
- Maintain high standards of infection control and patient safety
Build Strong Patient Relationships
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and carers
- Support patients throughout their treatment journey
Collaborate Across Healthcare Teams
- Work closely with acute trusts and community partners
- Contribute to a fully integrated multidisciplinary team (MDT)
- Support service development and continuous improvement
Embrace Digital Healthcare
- Use clinical systems such as SystmOne effectively
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Adapt to evolving digital healthcare practices
What We’re Looking For
- Registered Nurse with strong IV therapy skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work both independently and within a team
- Confidence in a mobile, community-based role
- Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle (essential)
