As a Registered Nurse in General Practice, you’ll play a vital role in enhancing community health and delivering advanced nursing care. Working within multidisciplinary teams, you will support patients, contribute to preventative healthcare, and ensure continuity of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver evidence-based nursing care in primary and secondary healthcare settings
- Support long-term patient management and health promotion programs
- Collaborate with doctors, healthcare assistants, and allied health professionals
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and records
- Build trust and rapport with patients and team members
- Contribute to a culture of learning, safety, and professional excellence
Who We’re Looking For
- Registered Nurse with a current New Zealand practicing certificate
- Experience in a medical center or general practice nursing preferred
- Postgraduate qualifications or specializations (e.g., occupational health, long-term conditions, travel medicine) are highly desirable
- CPR certification and immunization/smear taker certificates preferred but not essential
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and team collaboration skills
- Computer literate and willing to embrace professional growth opportunities
