About the Role
Your Responsibilities as a Registered Nurse
In this Registered Nurse role, you will support clients with moderate to severe brain injuries, helping them regain independence and quality of life.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Delivering high-quality clinical nursing care tailored to individual rehabilitation plans
- Supporting patients with complex neurological and medical needs
- Collaborating with therapists, doctors, and support staff in a team-based care model
- Building strong relationships with patients and their families/whānau
- Monitoring patient progress and adapting care plans accordingly
Work Schedule & Flexibility
This is a full-time, permanent role with a rotating roster:
- Shifts: Day, evening, weekend, and awake night shifts
- Availability: Monday to Sunday (24/7 service environment)
This flexible structure ensures continuous care while offering diverse clinical experience.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
What You’ll Need
To succeed as a Registered Nurse in this role, you should have:
- Minimum 2+ years of postgraduate nursing experience
- A current New Zealand practicing certificate
- A full, clean New Zealand driver’s license
- Strong clinical judgment and a passion for patient-centered care
Preferred Experience
- Background in neurology, stroke rehabilitation, or mental health nursing
- Experience in rehabilitation nursing or similar healthcare settings
