About the Role: Registered Nurse (AOD)

This Registered Nurse position is a part-time role (18.75 hours per week) on a fixed-term contract until 30 June 2027, with the potential for extension.

You will work closely with consumers and their families to deliver primary healthcare support, care coordination, and home-based detox services, focusing on harm reduction and improved health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Conduct comprehensive AOD assessments and develop personalized care plans
  • Deliver harm minimisation strategies and relapse prevention support
  • Provide motivational interventions to encourage recovery and engagement
  • Coordinate care with multidisciplinary healthcare teams and external providers
  • Maintain accurate electronic clinical records and reporting
  • Support home-based detox programs and community-based care services

Essential Requirements

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience

  • Strong understanding of harm minimisation and recovery-focused care
