Role Overview

What Does a Nurse (Full-Time) Do in Research?

In this full-time nursing position, you’ll play a key role in clinical research focused on transplant care and immunocompromised populations. This role blends clinical nursing expertise with research coordination, offering a unique and rewarding career path.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit and screen participants for clinical studies
  • Administer vaccines and conduct study-related procedures
  • Collect clinical data, surveys, and biological samples
  • Coordinate and manage study visits and follow-ups
  • Ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and regulatory standards
  • Maintain accurate documentation using systems like REDCap
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary research teams

Patient-Centered Research Responsibilities

Supporting Participants Every Step of the Way

  • Conduct informed consent discussions with clarity and empathy
  • Provide ongoing communication and support to study participants
  • Monitor participant safety and report adverse events
  • Enhance engagement and retention through consistent follow-up

Qualifications & Experience

What You Bring to the Role

  • Diploma (DEC) or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BScN/BNI)
  • Active registration and good standing with OIIQ
  • 2–3 years of nursing or clinical experience
  • Certification in Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
  • Strong bilingual communication skills (French & English)

Key Skills for Success

A successful Nurse (full-time) in this role will demonstrate:

  • Strong attention to detail in clinical documentation and data entry
  • Ability to work independently with sound judgment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Familiarity with research and healthcare software (REDCap, Medvisit, OACIS)

Work Environment & Schedule

  • Job Type: Temporary Full-Time (35 hours/week)
  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Location: GLEN Site, Montreal, QC (On-site)
