As a Registered Nurse in the Donor Centre, you will play a vital role in supporting blood collection processes while ensuring a safe, comfortable, and positive donor experience.

You’ll work in both fixed donor centres and community-based mobile clinics, combining clinical expertise with strong interpersonal skills to guide donors through the process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct donor registration and confidential eligibility screening
  • Assist in the safe collection of blood and blood products
  • Ensure all safety protocols and documentation standards are followed
  • Provide education, guidance, and reassurance to donors
  • Support and coach team members when required
  • Lead or assist in mobile blood collection events
  • Help set up and manage donor clinic equipment and spaces

What You Bring

Essential Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid provincial license
  • Completion of an accredited nursing program
  • Strong communication and patient care skills

Experience & Skills

  • Previous nursing experience (minimum 2 years preferred)
  • First Aid and CPR certification (asset)
  • Experience mentoring or coaching team members (asset)
  • Comfortable using systems like Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies

Work Schedule & Flexibility

  • Regular part-time position
