About the Agency Nurse Role
We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Agency Nurse (RN) to oversee the medical and nursing needs of clients in an Adult Treatment Services (ATS) setting. Working under the supervision of the Detox Clinical Supervisor, this role combines hands-on patient care with leadership responsibilities.
As an Agency Nurse, you will ensure high standards of care, maintain regulatory compliance, and support both clients and staff through education and coordination.
Key Responsibilities of an Agency Nurse
Oversee Clinical Care and Patient Safety
Ensure the delivery of high-quality nursing care for clients undergoing detox and behavioral health treatment, with a focus on safety and recovery outcomes.
Coordinate Medical Services
Work closely with healthcare providers, referral sources, and external agencies to manage and streamline medical care for ATS clients.
Lead and Support Nursing Staff
Provide supervision, training, and guidance to staff while fostering a collaborative and accountable care environment.
Ensure Compliance and Accreditation Standards
Maintain adherence to agency policies, state licensing regulations, and CARF accreditation standards, ensuring consistent quality and accountability.
Educate Clients and Staff
Deliver health education sessions on medical and behavioral health topics, empowering both clients and team members with knowledge and awareness.
Qualifications and Skills Required
Professional Credentials
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Valid driver’s license
Clinical Expertise
- Experience in substance abuse treatment and withdrawal management
- Knowledge of psychiatric and medical nursing practices
- Familiarity with community referral resources
Preferred Certifications
- State certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC)
- National certification in addiction or behavioral health nursing
