We are currently hiring for full-time and part-time permanent roles across:

  • Bedminster
  • Knowle
  • Whitchurch
  • Withywood

Your Role as a Health Visitor

In this role, you’ll work closely with families during the critical early years of a child’s life, providing expert guidance, support, and interventions that promote health and wellbeing.

You’ll empower parents to make informed decisions, advocate for vulnerable families, and contribute to reducing health inequalities within the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver the full range of mandated contacts under the Healthy Child Programme
  • Conduct assessments and provide early intervention support
  • Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to improve outcomes
  • Promote health, wellbeing, and early identification of risks
  • Advocate for families who may struggle to access services
  • Contribute to child safeguarding using national and local guidelines
  • Support families in making positive lifestyle and wellbeing decisions

Work Environment & Flexibility

Our Health Visiting teams operate across a variety of settings, including:

  • Family homes
  • Children’s centres
  • Community venues

This role requires you to be:

  • Mobile and flexible across a wide geographical area
  • Well-organised with strong time management skills
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
