About the Role

Your Responsibilities as a Registered Nurse

In this Registered Nurse role, you will support clients with moderate to severe brain injuries, helping them regain independence and quality of life.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering high-quality clinical nursing care tailored to individual rehabilitation plans
  • Supporting patients with complex neurological and medical needs
  • Collaborating with therapists, doctors, and support staff in a team-based care model
  • Building strong relationships with patients and their families/whānau
  • Monitoring patient progress and adapting care plans accordingly

Work Schedule & Flexibility

This is a full-time, permanent role with a rotating roster:

  • Shifts: Day, evening, weekend, and awake night shifts
  • Availability: Monday to Sunday (24/7 service environment)

This flexible structure ensures continuous care while offering diverse clinical experience.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

What You’ll Need

To succeed as a Registered Nurse in this role, you should have:

  • Minimum 2+ years of postgraduate nursing experience
  • A current New Zealand practicing certificate
  • A full, clean New Zealand driver’s license
  • Strong clinical judgment and a passion for patient-centered care

Preferred Experience

  • Background in neurology, stroke rehabilitation, or mental health nursing
  • Experience in rehabilitation nursing or similar healthcare settings

Don’t have neurorehabilitation experience? No problem—comprehensive training is provided to help you specialize.
